In the summertime in Tokyo, there are several fireworks displays. Tons of people flock to wherever one is happening on a given night to watch the show.

A firework going up into the air. You can’t tell from this picture just how insanely crowed it was by the river. So, so many people came to watch those fireworks.

And if there are lots of people, then they’ll need lots of food. Many food stands were set up on the path from the train station to the river, including one run by Domino’s Pizza. This was one of the many stands selling takoyaki, octopus fried in a batter shell.
