Cell Phone

Filed under: seikatsu — myyearinjapan @ 10:08 pm

I got a Japanese cell phone. This should make it easier to meet up with people if I go out. Everywhere you go is so crowded in Tokyo that it’s difficult to find people even if you have a meeting spot. For example, someone told me a story about meeting a friend at the statue of the dog Hachiko at Shibuya station, a popular meeting spot. Both people were there on time, but because there were so many people and they were on other sides of the statue, they didn’t find each other for half an hour. If they had cell phones, they would have been able to figure out that they were actually in the same spot and avoid waiting like that.
