Fireworks

Filed under: Events — myyearinjapan @ 4:14 pm

In Japan, in the summer, there are fireworks displays put on often by different towns and wards of the city. But, people also buy fireworks and shoot them off on their own. We decided to shoot off some fireworks for our friends who just left town the other day. So, we researched fireworks stores and found out that 3 train stops away from us is where a lot of the fireworks stores are. We went there and found the nearest fireworks store to the station and got a variety of fireworks for not too much money. It’s the end of the fireworks season, so everything was on sale.
The place we shot the fireworks from was kind of a long walk from where we’re staying, but it was a great spot to shoot fireworks. It’s on a river and slightly set back from any buildings or streets, so we were less likely to bother anyone there.
