The Harvest Begins

In a previous post, I said that the rice in the fields was looking ripe and ready for picking.

Well, the harvest began in earnest! Whenever I got out recently, I see little old ladies with their backs hunched over, picking produce, and little old men pushing little tractors. I guess young people don’t participate in the harvest as much…

I apologize for the blurriness of some of these pictures. I took them from a moving train.
