Happy Belated Halloween

This is a month late, but at an English conversation class I got to, someone brought this jack o’pineapple  to the Halloween party. Japan has pumpkins but unlike the ones in the states with relatively soft, orange skin, the kabocha squash found in Japan has very tough, green skin. This makes it very hard to carve. Perhaps that’s why someone decided to use a pineapple instead.

  1. Haha, I like this! It still looks orange. It’s like Halloween in the island sun.

    • Yep, but there’s no island sun here. It’s pretty chilly actually.
I also like how the pineapple looks a lot more evil than the kind pumpkin next to it.
